Located in the beautiful city of Tartu
The position is Full-time and entails working in the clinic during the week (Monday to Friday 7.30am-4pm) and after-hours. The working hours are schedule-based.
Assignments include:
*assisting the veterinarian during procedures in or outside the clinic
*routine care of hospitalized patients
*administering treatments as instructed by the veterinarian
*making sure that the clinic looks clean and presentable
*laboratory analyses
*on-calls during the nights, holidays, and weekends according to the schedule
*administrative duties for the equine clinic
*work in conjunction with the receptionist
*other task requested by the head of the clinic involving clinical, non-clinical and administrative duties of the equine clinic.
We require you to:
*have prior experience working with horses (essential)
*have a very good knowledge of English
*have the ability to endure long working hours, handle stress and cope well in a fast-paced environment
*have good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
The position will become available from February 5th 2024.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable and a team player with the ability to operate efficiently in a busy clinical environment and work to a very high clinical standard. Experience working with horses is mandatory. You will be exposed to all types of equine veterinary practice: hospitalized patients, equine surgical procedures (both GA and standing surgery), reproductive services and intensive care nursing including foals.
