Involvement of veterinary medicine students into the work of Small Animal Clinic of Estonian University of Life Sciences

In order to improve the quality of their education, students actively participate in the work of our clinic under careful supervision of our veterinarians.   

In order to assure the highest quality of education, practical trainings of veterinary medicine students of Estonian University of Life Sciences are held in Small Animal Clinic. Under careful supervision of our veterinarians, students participate in the regular work of the clinic observing diagnostic and treatment procedures, as well as performing routine practical assignments.

For instance, during your visit to the animal clinic, a veterinarian may assign the student to perform preliminary clinical examination and take record of the patient’s medical history. If necessary, the results of the student’s work will be checked by the veterinarian. Students also perform several routine procedures, i.e. blood sampling, intravenous cannula placement, nail clipping, taking care of stationary patient, etc.
