The position is full-time and entails working in the clinic during the night by the schedule (Monday to Sunday 16.00-09.00).
The working hours are schedule-based and may include day shifts as well.
Assignments include:
*assisting the veterinarian during procedures in the clinic
*routine care of hospitalized patients
*administering treatments as instructed by the veterinarian
*making sure that the clinic looks clean and presentable
*laboratory analyses
*other task requested by the head of the clinic involving clinical, non-clinical and administrative duties of the equine clinic
We require you to:
*have prior experience working with horses (essential)
*have a very good knowledge of English and Estonian
*have the ability to endure long working hours, handle stress and cope well in a fast-paced environment
*have good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
The position will become available from June 1st, 2025.
Successful candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable and a team player with the ability to operate efficiently in a busy clinical environment and work to a very high clinical standard. Experience working with horses is mandatory. You will be exposed to all types of equine veterinary practice: hospitalized patients, equine surgical procedures (both GA and standing surgery), reproductive services and intensive care nursing including foals.

EMÜ Equine Hospital is an equine referral center located in Tartu, Estonia. We offer a 12-month clinical internship program open to veterinary graduates worldwide. The objective of this internship is to provide comprehensive equine clinical experience through the following aims:
While primarily an in-hospital internship, there may be opportunities for interns to rotate into the field.
